About.

I'm Ben Tiller, a Lead Product Designer in Bristol.

I trained as a graphic designer and started out in visual craft. Book covers and typesetting at Oxford University Press, branding and print as a freelancer, then a year in New Zealand as lead designer on a national ad campaign. Branding, print ads, video and my first time leading a web project. Dyson and Clarks took the shift from how things look to how they work the rest of the way.

For the last six years I've been at Kaluza, an energy platform used by OVO, ENGIE and others. I've grown its agent experience from a couple of forms into a product that wins enterprise clients, built the research practice underneath it and led design on every major client pitch.

My roots in visual craft now shape my team's work as much as my own. I mentor designers, run the crits and set the standard we hold ourselves to. Known for being a steady hand under pressure, I keep things calm through tight deadlines, changing plans and high stakes client meetings.

“You have such a great balance of curiosity and candour.”
